I’ve never done collaborative poems, but it occurred to me that a memorial poem might be the perfect laboratory for just such an experiment. I have posted a draft of “The Unheard Music” (in memoriam, Graham R. Lewis) here, and I’m inviting contributions. The criteria are simple:
- You have to have known Graham Lewis.
- Your line(s) must begin with the word “burn.”
Enter your contributions in the comments section of that page. Enter as many lines, of any length, as you like, whenever you like. Every so often I will add the lines to the piece wherever they seem to fit. I am also not averse to cutting/changing/expanding what’s already there, so if you want to amend an existing line, simply indicate that.
This could be fun. Have at it.
